BATLX™: From Groundwork to Game-Changer

BATLX™ was a Football-Specific Training and Athletic Development facility dedicated to serving athletes who sought to sharpen their skills and separate themselves from the competition. Our sessions focused on developing technical skill sets, athleticism, leadership, life skills, communication, accountability, and personal presence.

Rooted in the heart of Nova Scotia, we were passionate about building and uplifting the local football community. Led by former professional quarterback and experienced coach Micah Brown, our expert staff brought years of high-level playing and coaching experience to every session.

As the game evolved, so did we.

BATLX™ has now transitioned into a fully virtual football education and development platform, offering online position-specific training, film analysis, football IQ coaching, workflow optimization for programs, and strategic mentorship. We’re continuing our mission—now on a global scale—to build smarter, more prepared athletes and coaches who are built to think and trained to win.

👤 About Coach Micah

Legacy Builder. Systems Architect. Football Mind.

Micah Brown is the visionary behind BATLX™ and a leader in high-performance football development. A former professional quarterback with experience across the NCAA, Arena, CFL, and European leagues, Micah has translated his deep understanding of the game into a system that builds smarter athletes and more effective coaches.

With over a decade of coaching experience at the collegiate and international level—including roles as Offensive Coordinator, Director of Football Analytics, and Secondary’s (DB) Coach—Micah’s impact goes beyond the field. He specializes in unlocking potential through education, mentorship, and game-intelligent systems that give players and coaches a true competitive edge.

From the NCAA to Europe to Canadian sidelines, Coach Micah has always believed in the power of football as a vehicle for growth. Today, through BATLX™, he’s creating access, building football minds, and helping the next generation outthink, outplay, and outlast their competition.

Professional Playing Career

Brown’s 11-season professional career as a quarterback spanned multiple countries, including Canada, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Poland, France, and Sweden. His accolades include:

  • 2011 IFAF World Champion (U.S. National Team)

  • 8x National Champion

  • Euro-American Football Hall of Fame Inductee (2015)

  • Only the second player in Euro-American history to win two top-division national titles in the same year

Collegiate Career & Education

Brown’s collegiate journey took him through NCAA Division I (SEC), NCAA Division II (CIAA – HBCU), and NJCAA (JuCo – Mississippi) before transferring to Saint Mary’s University, where he:

  • Led the team to a National Semi-Final & Loney Bowl Championship

  • Earned Offensive Player of the Year honors

  • Competed in varsity basketball and track

He holds multiple degrees, including:

  • M.Sc.(adj) in Sport Science & Biomechanics – Dalhousie University

  • M.A. in North American Studies – Philipps Universität Marburg (Germany)

  • B.A. in Psychology & Sociology – Saint Mary’s University (Canada)

  • B.Sc. in Business Marketing & Management – Saint Paul’s College (USA)

Entrepreneurial Ventures & Business Leadership

BATLX™ has been recognized as a Halifax Business Award finalist and Brown himself was named to Atlantic Canada’s 40 Under 40. Additionally, he is a football analyst for Eastlink TV and a lululemon Legacy Ambassador, representing the brand’s commitment to leadership, wellness, and community impact. Micah serves as an Adjunct Professor at Dalhousie University (Kinesiology – Sport Science) and at Saint Mary’s University (MBA – Sports Analytics), where he shares his expertise in performance systems, data, and strategic thinking with the next generation of leaders.

Philanthropy & Community Impact

Brown is deeply committed to athlete development and community service. He established the BATLX™ Leadership & Community Excellence Bursary at Saint Mary’s University, supporting student-athletes in their academic and athletic pursuits. He is also a member of the Black Wellness Co of Nova Scotia, contributing to initiatives focused on health, wellness, and professional development.

Personal Life

Brown resides in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, with his wife Kelly Brown, a fellow Saint Mary’s alumna, Real Estate agent and sports executive, and their son Jaxon, a rising young athlete. His oldest son, Jha’Siah, is a high school baseball standout in Virginia, on track for an early graduation and garnering NCAA interest as a shortstop.

With a global football career, deep analytical expertise, and a passion for athlete development, Coach Micah continues to shape the future of football, both on and off the field.
